1. Overview
DevsLoop ("we", "us", "our") built QuickClean ("the App") with privacy as a core principle. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and what protections are in place. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about our data practices.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
QuickClean is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We want to be clear about what we do not do:
- We do not upload your photos, videos, or media to any server
- We do not collect or store your contact information from your address book
- We do not track your location
- We do not sell, share, or monetize any personal data
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs that track individual users
- We do not create user profiles or behavioral tracking data
3. On-Device Processing
All core features of QuickClean operate entirely on your device:
- AI Photo Analysis: Blurry detection, low-light detection, similar photo grouping, and receipt recognition all use on-device machine learning models. No images are sent to any external service.
- Storage Analysis: Device storage calculations are performed locally using iOS system APIs.
- Media Conversion: Format conversion, compression, resizing, and all editing tools process files locally on your device.
- Contact Analysis: Duplicate contact detection runs entirely on-device and does not transmit contact data.
- Memories: Smart memory generation analyzes photo metadata (dates, locations, Vision labels) on-device only.
4. Device Permissions
QuickClean requests the following permissions, which you can control at any time through iOS Settings:
4.1 Photos Library Access
Required to browse, analyze, organize, convert, compress, and delete photos and videos. You can choose "Full Access" or "Limited Access" (select specific photos). The App only reads and modifies media within the scope of the permission you grant.
4.2 Contacts Access
Required only for the duplicate contact detection and merging feature. Contact data is read locally and never transmitted off your device. You can use all other features without granting Contacts access.
5. Third-Party Services
QuickClean uses a minimal set of third-party services:
5.1 Apple App Store
Used for app distribution, in-app purchases, and subscription management. Apple's own privacy practices apply to App Store transactions. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
5.2 RevenueCat
Used solely for managing subscription status (active, expired, etc.). RevenueCat receives anonymized transaction data from Apple to verify your subscription status. It does not have access to your photos, videos, contacts, or any personal media. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
6. Data Storage
QuickClean stores the following data locally on your device:
- App preferences: Settings like playback speed, compression quality, and safety preferences are stored in local app storage (UserDefaults)
- Subscription status: A local flag indicating whether Premium features are active
- Search index: Photo classification labels generated by on-device AI, stored locally for search functionality
- Custom sounds: Audio files you import for memory slideshows, stored in the app's local Documents directory
None of this data is transmitted to any external server.
7. Data Deletion
When you delete QuickClean from your device, all locally stored data (preferences, search index, custom sounds) is automatically removed by iOS. No data persists on any external server because none was ever sent.
8. Children's Privacy
QuickClean does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require account registration and does not collect identifying information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through support email, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Security
Since QuickClean processes all data on-device and does not transmit personal data to external servers, your information benefits from the security protections built into iOS, including:
- Device encryption (Data Protection)
- App sandboxing
- iOS permission system
- Secure Enclave for biometric data (when applicable)
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request information about what data we process (in QuickClean's case, no personal data is collected or stored externally)
- Deletion: Request deletion of any personal data (uninstalling the App achieves this automatically)
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Objection: Object to certain types of data processing
